After graduating from UCLA, William was a co-founder and principal in two hi-tech ventures in California - an entrepreneur before it was fashionable to be one. William has spent 20 years studying Asian culture and language and lived, worked and travelled throughout the Far East from 1997 through 2004. In Tokyo, he served as Foreign Counsel for a Japanese law firm particularly noted for its expertise in technology and built his own practice there (www.yuasa-hara.co.jp) advising emerging technology companies in the U.S. and Asia on private equity, corporate, IP and other start-up issues and guiding established foreign technology companies entering the Japanese market. He has also served as a lecturer on foreign direct investment and venture business at Temple University Law School, Tokyo campus.

He has extensive experience in representing technology companies in venture capital and securities transactions.
